“A rheumatologist is sometimes regarded as ‘the Sherlock Holmes of medicine.’ We are often called on to help diagnose rare and difficult diseases. At the core of everything I do is a desire to provide care and comfort for others. It brings great joy into my life.”
Dr. Bembry is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. She focuses on lupus and other autoimmune connective tissue diseases, rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, autoinflammatory diseases, gout and pseudogout, inflammatory myopathies, osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
The complex nature and the diversity of diseases in the field drew her to specialize in rheumatology.
Dr. Bembry received her medical degree at Mercer University, where she also earned a master’s degree in public health. She completed residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Tulane University and a fellowship in adult rheumatology at Saint Louis University.
Away from work, she enjoys traveling, discovering new eateries and the performing arts with her husband. They also like to make their own furniture and home decor.
