Biography

"Breast cancer is a disease that affects patients of all ages, races and backgrounds. It affects not only the patient, but their loved ones, families and friends. It is a privilege and an honor to walk alongside patients during their breast cancer care, and I love the individual relationships I form with each patient."

Dr. Warren is a surgeon who focuses on treating breast cancer and other conditions affecting the breast.

Since being introduced to the specialty as a medical student, he has been passionate about treating patients with breast conditions. He values treating not only the disease, but the patient as a whole, which means tailoring care to each individual.

Dr. Warren has received a Kaiser Permanente Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

His research interests include genetic predispositions to breast cancer, young women with breast cancer, and surgical training and education.

Dr. Warren received a bachelor’s degree in human biology at North Carolina State University and a master’s degree in teaching at American University. He received his medical degree at the University of North Carolina and completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Brown University.

Away from work, he can be found hiking, on the water or spending time outdoors with his partner and their dog.
