Yovanni Casablanca, MD

Dr. Casablanca is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She specializes in gynecologic oncology with a focus on ovarian, uterine, cervical, vaginal, vulvar and peritoneal cancers; cervical, vaginal and vulvar dysplasias; complex ovarian cysts; borderline tumors; pelvic masses; postmenopausal bleeding and vulvar and vaginal melanomas.

She is committed to providing women with the best possible care they can receive and believes each patient deserves to be treated like a family member.

Dr. Casablanca is the former co-director of the Department of Defense Gynecologic Cancer Research Program. Her work for the DoD studied and used cutting-edge proteogenomic applications to evaluate ovarian, uterine and cervical cancers in diverse populations. She is the associate director of the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at Levine Cancer Institute.

She has received the Gynecologic Oncology Group Foundation New Investigator Award and has served as co-director of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology annual meeting's advanced course in cytoreductive surgery.

Dr. Casablanca received her medical degree at Uniformed Services University. She completed residency in OB/GYN at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center. She completed a fellowship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Away from work, she spends time running, skiing and walking with her 2 children. She enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants.
