Prior to joining Carolinas Simulation Center in 2024 as a simulation service line educator, Lauren Knepper provided simulation to a wide variety of learners as the site simulation educator at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL. There, she facilitated educational simulation for groups ranging from non-clinical teammates to nurses to attending physicians and community groups. She also grew a passion for translational simulation including process testing and space testing at her site. Lauren's other simulation interests include integrating DEI+ topics into scenarios to best represent all patient populations. Prior to simulation, Lauren practiced as a critical care float nurse at a trauma center in Chicago, IL.
