After working with Carolinas Simulation Center for 3 years as a simulated participant (SP) herself, Leslie joined the team full time in 2020. She is responsible for the oversight and growth of the SP program and is utilizing the skills she spent over a decade building as a professional touring actor, road manager, and technician. Her job includes recruiting, interviewing, scheduling, orienting, training, and most importantly advocating for the SPs using simulation best practices. Leslie is an active member of the Association of SP Educators and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, presenting and sharing her unique perspective to improve the healthcare simulation community.
