Wei Sha, PhD

Research Professor and Deputy Chair, LCI Department of Biostatistics and Data Sciences

Wei Sha has almost 20 years of experience in designing and conducting statistical analysis for omics studies and clinical studies. She worked as an associate professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte before joining LCI in 2020. As a research professor at LCI, Sha provides statistical support for both observational studies and clinical trials in cancer research. She supervises a postdoctoral research associate on research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health. She also oversees the LCI Observational Research Data Core (LORDC), which Rupali Bose, manager application specialist, directly manages. As a deputy chair, Sha assists the department chair in developing and implementing annual strategic plans, developing standard operating procedures and hiring and training new members for the department.
