Atrium Health Honored on Forbes Best-In-State Employers 2021 List
Atrium Health recognized among Best-In-State for North Carolina, South Carolina
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 23, 2021 – Atrium Health has been recognized on the Forbes list of Best-In-State Employers 2021 for both North Carolina and South Carolina.Atrium Health has previously been recognized on the Best-In-State Employers list for North Carolina each year since 2019 and is being recognized for the first time in South Carolina.
This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista, Inc. America's Best-In-State Employers 2021 were identified in an independent survey based on a vast sample of approximately 80,000 Americans working for companies with more than 500 employees in the U.S. Across 25 industry sectors, 1,329 employer brands were ranked among the top employers.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, when hundreds of thousands of organizations across the country faced significant financial hardships and laid off or furloughed its workers, Atrium Health ensured its more than 70,000 employees maintained meaningful roles by ensuring a “teammate first” approach. Atrium Health worked tirelessly to ease the personal burdens that many of its teammates faced by significantly enhancing childcare benefits, providing food and lodging options and creating a Caregiver Heroes Fund for employees with special financial needs caused by the pandemic, to name a few. Atrium Health also created additional choices for teammates who were willing to take on alternative assignments during the pandemic.

The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. Employees were also asked to evaluate other employers in their respective industry and state that stood out either positively or negatively.
