Committed to Kids' Dreams

At Atrium Health Levine Children’s, we’re not just inspired by kids’ dreams. We’re committed to helping them come true.

That’s why Levine Children’s Hospital has been named a Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for 13 years in a row. We’re the only children’s hospital in our region to make the list, and this year we ranked in more specialties than ever.

But we’re more than our award-winning children’s hospital and specialty care. Atrium Health Levine Children's has the most comprehensive care for kids in the region. This includes neighborhood pediatricians, video visits, emergency rooms and the only dedicated children’s urgent cares around Charlotte. Plus, all locations are COVID-Safe – so no matter where you go, you know your child’s health is in good hands.

Call 844-235-6998 for help finding a pediatrician, or start your search online. We can help you book a primary care appointment within 24 hours.

Helping dreams come true

Every child deserves to live the life they imagine. With expertise and lots of care, we help them get there.

We dream big so they can, too.

Luca

Luca is out-of-this-world awesome.

Cancer fighter, 3

Luca loves rocket ships and dreams of one day flying to space himself. Diagnosed with a Stage IV kidney tumor, he’s undergone difficult treatments, including chemo, radiation and surgery. Through the Isabella Santos Foundation Rare and Solid Tumor Program, he gets everything he needs at Levine Children’s Hospital – including access to the latest therapies and clinical trials. At just 3 years old, Luca’s been through a lot, but he doesn’t let it get him down. Like a true astronaut, he just gets back up, up and away!

Nolan

Nolan makes every day a dream.

Heart hero, 4

Born with a severe heart defect, Nolan has been a miracle his whole life. Fortunately, Levine Children’s Hospital has everything he needs close to home. This includes fetal heart specialists who cared for him in the womb – and the region’s only pediatric heart surgery program, where Nolan received open-heart surgery at 2 years old. As we continue caring for his heart – as well as a rare genetic condition – Nolan is growing more than ever. And he has more energy, too! Full of love, laughter and hugs, this miracle baby makes every day a dream.

Transplant super-siblings

Courage runs in the family.

Transplant super-siblings, 9 and 10

Siblings Skylar and Scot share a lot. They both see our gastroenterologists for a rare genetic condition that changes how the body uses and stores sugars. And they each successfully underwent a liver transplant at Levine Children’s Hospital, only a year apart. But that’s not all they have in common. These two are brave kids with big dreams. Whether it’s being a world-famous violinist or a legendary football player, we’re making sure there’s not a goal they can’t crush.

NICU graduate

Scarlett proves you can be tiny and tough.

NICU graduate, 20 months

Born at 26 weeks, Scarlett weighed less than a pound and a half. Two weeks later, doctors found a clot in her heart. Fortunately, her team of specialists at Levine Children’s Hospital knew of a rare clot-busting medicine called tPA. It was Scarlett’s best chance at survival but had only been used in a handful of babies around the world – few as small as Scarlett. Within 3 days, the clot disappeared. Scarlett spent a grand total of 131 days in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she recovered, grew and proved courage comes in all sizes.

kidney-rosy

Rosy makes life magical.

Kidney disease fighter, 7

Rosy dreams of being a princess. With a pet unicorn, of course. Nothing can make her crown slip – not even being diagnosed with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), or kidney failure. She comes to our Pediatric Nephrology Center of Excellence, the only one of its kind in the region. With the latest treatments and clinical trials, we fight hard to give Rosy the life she imagines – unicorn and all.

neuro-rosie

Rosie makes everything possible.

Brain surgery champion, 6

For Rosie, every day brings new possibilities. But when she was very little, she suffered from seizures that couldn’t be controlled with medication. Her care team at Levine Children’s Hospital knew there was one more option – a radical brain surgery that could cure her condition. The surgery was successful, and today, Rosie is seizure-free. With eyes full of wonder, she’s learning, growing and living a life full of possibilities.

ortho-kai'mariya

Kai’Mariya has what it takes.

Orthopedic surgery superstar, 15

Kai’Mariya is no stranger to the medical field. Maybe that’s why she hopes to be a nurse. Diagnosed with rickets – a skeletal disorder that leads to soft, weak bones – she travels all the way from South Carolina for orthopedic surgery and treatment at Levine Children’s Hospital. She says her medical team here is caring and full of knowledge. And the feeling’s mutual. Kai’Mariya has brains, heart and knows what it’s like to be a patient. We think she’d make a great nurse one day.

pulm-demarcus

The right care helps Demarcus stay in the zone.

Cystic fibrosis warrior, 12

Demarcus is a cystic fibrosis warrior. He takes life day by day and dreams of being a famous basketball player. Fortunately, he finds all the care he needs at Levine Children’s Hospital – home to a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-accredited care center. This includes clinical research and specialized disease management to help kids like Demarcus live healthier, more fulfilling lives. We make sure he gets the treatment he needs to keep healthy – and keep practicing on the court.
