Dr. Christmas is the Medical Director of Trauma, overseeing Atrium Health’s F.H. “Sammy” Ross, Jr. Level I Trauma Center, the only Level I trauma center in the Charlotte region. Dr. Christmas serves on the Board of Directors for the Trauma Centers Association of America (TCAA) and as the President of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST), a scientific organization providing leadership and development for young surgeons active in the care of the injured patient through interdisciplinary collaboration, scholarship, and fellowship. He was also honored with an EAST Leadership Development Scholarship in 2008 and EAST Foundation Brandeis Scholarship in Health Policy and Management in 2010.
