Services

Unlike other online health services, virtual primary care isn’t just for sick visits – it's for all your routine health care needs, including:

  • Chronic disease management, including for diabetes and high blood pressure
  • Sick visits, including for colds, rashes and sprains
  • Mental health services
  • Medicare Annual Wellness Visits
  • eVisit secure messaging for minor conditions without an appointment
  • Care team coordination of any needed in-person care such as annual physicals, labs and screenings

Coordination of in-person care when needed

Most conditions can be managed over video, but sometimes in-person visits are still needed. This can include annual physicals, lab work, diagnostic testing and screenings. Children will also need to be seen in person for certain conditions like ear infections.

When in-person care is needed, we’ll partner with an Atrium Health facility or in-person provider nearby and coordinate all your care. If more specialized services are needed, we’ll seamlessly refer you to some of the best specialists and hospitals in the region.

How it works

Virtual primary care is health care made easy. Once you pick a virtual primary care doctor or advanced practice provider and schedule your first appointment, here’s what to expect.

Step 1: Before your visit

Because all visits are online via secure video connection, you don’t need to worry about commuting to the doctor’s office or sitting in a waiting room. Instead, just log in to MyAtriumHealth by smartphone, tablet or computer a few minutes before your visit.

Step 2: During your visit

Whether you’re managing a chronic condition, seeking care for something new or just trying to stay healthy, each visit is customized for your unique needs. Depending on the reason for your visit, your doctor or advanced practice provider may ask how you're feeling, explain recent labs and testing, and even examine certain physical symptoms.

Step 3: After your visit

At the end of your visit, your provider will go over the next steps for your care. They’ll also coordinate any follow-up visits if needed.

For the best experience, ensure you have a strong internet connection and your device’s camera, microphone and speakers are working as they should. You might also need your insurance card and a form of photo identification. You can also consider using headphones for added privacy.
