Heart Support Groups
Atrium Health’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute offers a variety of support groups in the greater Charlotte area for people of all ages with heart disease and members of their family. The goal is to help you feel more connected as you learn more about heart disease and how to better manage your condition.
Adult Congenital Heart Disease Support Group
Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) is for adults living with ACHD. Get your questions answered, talk with others and see first-hand why it's important not only to receive regular care for ACHD, but to make sure it's the right kind of care.
Heart Success Support Group Information
The Heart Success Support Group is for patients who have congestive heart failure (CHF) and their family/caregivers. Monthly meetings include educational discussions about medication, stress management, nutrition and weight control, advice to quit smoking, medical devices and other areas of concern for people with CHF.

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Support Group
The HCM Support Group is for persons who have HCM and their loved ones. Quarterly meetings offer an opportunity for attendees to connect and learn with others as medical and social topics related to concerns particular to HCM are discussed.

ICD Support Group
The Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator [ICD) Support Group provides a place for people with ICDs to connect with others to learn more about the devices and issues related to their conditions. Each meeting features a different discussion topic. A light lunch will be provided by Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute.

The Mechanical Circulatory Support Group is for persons who have a heart pump (HeartMateII/III, HeartWare or Total Artificial Heart) and their loved ones. Quarterly meetings offer attendees a chance to connect and learn with others who have these devices.

NEWHEARTS Support Group
