“Working in orthopedics allows me to merge my personal experiences with my passion for treating bone, joint and soft tissue conditions while providing a holistic approach to recovery and performance. I am eager to apply my skills in a field where I can empower patients to regain function and independence through tailored treatment options, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.”
Amber Edwards is a board-certified physician assistant. She has a clinical interest in orthopedic surgery with a special focus on hip and knee arthroplasty.
Growing up as a multi-sport athlete, Edwards sustained various musculoskeletal injuries which sparked her interest in understanding how the body adapts and recovers from physical setbacks.
Prior to attending PA school, she worked as an athletic trainer, where she gained valuable experience in injury prevention and rehabilitation. She developed a strong desire to take a more comprehensive role in her patients' care, which led her to pursue a career as a physician assistant.
Edwards received her bachelor’s degree in athletic training at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Pfeiffer University.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her husband, trying new local restaurants, spending time with their pets and going to concerts for just about every genre of music, from pop to punk to country.
