Heidel is a board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in surgical oncology (cancer). She decided to become a nurse in high school after seeing home health nurses come to her house to care for her mother.
Heidel received her master’s degree in nursing at Georgetown University.
She and her husband, Rob, have 1 son, Wyatt, and a dog named Albus. She is an avid reader and lover of all things Harry Potter. She also loves spending time outdoors hiking and exploring.
