“I love my job and the tremendous opportunity it provides me to serve God and others. If a patient has to be in the hospital, I know they are having one of their toughest days. I strive to make their time and their treatment the best it can be. All patients and their families deserve to be treated with the utmost care, dignity and respect. I strive to show the love of God to everyone I encounter.”
Dr. Travis Denmeade is trained in internal medicine and specializes in infectious diseases, HIV and bone and joint infections.
He was drawn to the infectious diseases specialty because of the breadth of cases and the global impact. Infections impact diverse populations and can be a mystery that doctors must approach from multiple angles to figure out. He appreciates the colleagues and mentors he has had, and they influenced him to choose his specialty.
Dr. Denmeade received the Marvin M. McCall III Outstanding House-Officer Award from the Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center Department of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Denmeade received his medical degree at Northeast Ohio Medical University, where he was valedictorian. He completed residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and a fellowship at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
Outside of work, he loves to disc golf with friends, hike and take walks with his wife and their dog. He enjoys reading, especially mystery novels.
