Building the Future of Health: Atrium Health Construction Projects

Atrium Health has been proudly serving the Charlotte area for more than 80 years. Just as our care for the community continues to grow, so does our need for modern clinical spaces. Our new facilities will allow us to meet the needs created by the rapid growth throughout the region – providing the most up-to-date technologies to care for our patients inside state-of-the-art facilities, such as the new Carolinas Rehabilitation and Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, and to provide an enhanced healing environment for our patients and their loved ones. In addition to our treatment facilities, Atrium Health is proud to partner with Wake Forest School of Medicine to build a second campus in midtown Charlotte. Wake Forest School of Medicine – Charlotte is expected to seat its first class in 2024.

Our construction projects are guided by prioritizing safety, support, standardization, an excellent patient experience and compassionate care for all. Throughout the construction or revitalization of any Atrium Health facility, patient care will remain our top priority and the level of care will not be impacted by the changes being made to our facilities.
