CMC Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program

The CMC Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program is the most recognized component of the dynamic Department of Family Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center (CMC). Other departmental programs include: the teaching of medical students and initiatives in community-oriented primary care, health promotion/disease prevention, geriatrics, behavioral medicine, sports medicine, occupational health and clinical research, and a novel integrative medicine curriculum.

This program offers an array of special opportunities for unique individuals who aspire to become the most competent and well-prepared family physicians for today's ever-changing healthcare environment.

Geriatric Medicine Fellowship

The Geriatric Medicine Fellowship is a one-year, ACGME-accredited clinical training program for physicians who are board certified or board eligible in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. The ideal candidate is a physician with a strong desire to build his/her clinical skills and knowledge related to geriatric medicine across the continuum of care and with an affinity toward developing therapeutic relationships with older adults and their families.
