Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute's nationally recognized adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) program helps the growing number of ACHD patients transition to adult care and achieve a higher quality of life, long-term.

National Presentations

We are shaping the direction of ACHD care by participating in key national meetings and symposia:

  • Sanger’s ACHD program director chaired the South Atlantic Cardiovascular Society symposium.
  • Our director also presented on infective endocarditis and the Mediterranean diet at the Adult Congenital Heart Association’s national conference.
  • We presented a case study at the American College of Cardiology’s annual meeting. The case study was on utilizing cardiac MRI to evaluate acute, severe pulmonic insufficiency in pulmonic valve infective endocarditis.
  • At the American Heart Association’s scientific sessions, we presented a case study on an adult living with undiagnosed total anomalous pulmonary venous return.
