Cardiac Electrophysiology

Sanger’s electrophysiology (EP) team consists of electrophysiologists and advanced practice providers who combine clinical knowledge and expertise across the full spectrum of arrythmias. We use the latest technologies to deliver the region’s highest-quality care.

Recent Highlights

Offering the latest treatments: We offer the most advanced and effective treatments for the full spectrum of heart rhythm conditions, including the most complex heart rhythm disorders. We also offer breakthrough treatments that aren’t available elsewhere in the Charlotte region through our clinical trials, including the region’s first noninvasive radiation therapy treatment for refractory ventricular arrhythmia.

Experienced device management: The Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute Device Clinic is one of the nation’s largest device management clinics and an international leader in the care of patients with implanted cardiac devices. Our lead management program is also one of the largest in the nation, providing care for patients with complex devicerelated issues.

Multidisciplinary, patient-centered care: We work with partners both within and outside cardiology to provide comprehensive care. For example, we’re part of a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in advanced heart failure, radiation oncology, behavioral health and other areas to provide complete care for patients with complex ventricular arrhythmias. Our high-caliber care is tailored to each patient’s unique needs and circumstances, not just heart rhythm symptoms. We also offer access to educational resources and peer support groups.
