Atrium Health Levine Children's Expands Access to New Emerging Models of Pediatric Care

11.09.2020 Atrium Health News | Levine Children's | Primary Care

At Atrium Health Levine Children’s, families have access to an entire network of children’s care – all committed and backed by Levine Children’s Hospital, a facility ranked in 8 specialties by U.S. News & World Report. In addition to 150 pediatricians, there are more than 150 specialists across 30+ specialties, children’s urgent cares, hospitals, emergency departments and more. And now, Levine Children’s is rolling out an exciting addition: two new, specialized types of pediatric practices.

These new pediatric primary care facilities specialize in providing a more personalized approach to primary care for children and adolescents. Atrium Health Levine Children’s Perspective Health and Wellness is a membership-based practice, and Atrium Health Levine Children’s Baxter Village Pediatrics is a subscription-based practice. Both of these practices are smaller than a traditional practice, meaning there are fewer patients per physician. Patients pay an annual membership or monthly subscription fee, which allows these practices to offer enhanced services and a more streamlined coordination of care. Having more consistent direct access creates a stronger physician-patient relationship and a unique family-based approach to care.

Atrium Health Levine Children’s Perspective Health and Wellness, a premiere, comprehensive membership-based practice opened in May of this year, and Atrium Health Levine Children’s Baxter Village Pediatrics – one of the first subscription-based practices in the region, will see patients starting November 10th. Both locations offer personalized medical care available by a simple phone call or text with same-day availability to be seen in the office. Levine Children’s Perspective Health and Wellness members will have access to a dedicated care team during office hours as well as direct access to a physician after hours without the need to go through a call center, while Baxter Village Pediatrics patients will be able to contact a physician after hours through Atrium Health’s Telehealth nurse triage services.

Levine Children’s Perspective Health and Wellness is located in Atrium Health SouthPark Medical Plaza I in the rapidly growing upscale SouthPark area. Baxter Village Pediatrics is conveniently located directly across from the picturesque community of Baxter Village in Fort Mill, SC. Both facilities are fully equipped with the latest technology, resources and expert healthcare physicians, bringing Atrium Health’s clinical excellence to two growing areas that would benefit from more personalized pediatric care options.

About Levine Children’s Perspective Health and Wellness

Dr. Amanda LanierLevine Children’s Perspective Health and Wellness is a membership-based primary care option, also known as concierge pediatric medicine. This membership-based pediatric practice is smaller than a traditional practice, with fewer patients per physician, allowing for more personalized and streamlined care between patients and their pediatricians. These standards have been put in place to ensure the facilities are as safe as possible for all that need care. Those who may be experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should call ahead before entering any Atrium Health facility and follow the instructions of health care providers on how to best seek care.
