Carolinas College of Health Sciences is proud to share that Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) graduates continue to demonstrate exceptional academic and professional readiness.

From January through October 2025, 100% of ADN graduates passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on their first attempt, reflecting the strength of the College’s nursing curriculum and the dedication of its students and faculty.

This achievement exceeds both state and national benchmarks. During the same period, the first-time NCLEX pass rate was 92% in North Carolina and 87% nationally.

In addition to exam success, the College continues to play an important role in supporting the healthcare workforce. Between January and October 2025, Carolinas College helped prepare 87% ADN graduates to enter the workforce.

“We are extremely proud of our 2025 ADN graduates who committed themselves to excellence throughout their nursing education,” said Dr. Amy Smith, nursing program chair. “This milestone reflects their hard work, the support of our faculty and our shared commitment to preparing competent, compassionate nurses.”

Graduates credit the program’s emphasis on critical thinking, hands-on clinical experience and exam preparation for their success.

The NCLEX is the final step required for nursing graduates to become licensed nurses. A 100% first-time pass rate highlights the effectiveness of Carolinas College’s approach to nursing education and its mission to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.
