The pediatric endocrinology team at Atrium Health Levine Children's provides a full range of care for children with endocrine conditions and diabetes. Our team includes board-certified pediatric endocrinologists, specialized nurses and dedicated staff who work together to support your child, help prevent complications and improve quality of life.

We’re also the only diabetes team in the Greater Charlotte area accredited by the American Diabetes Association (ADA). This recognition reflects our commitment to the highest standards for care, education and support for families.

Pediatric endocrinology conditions treated

Our pediatric endocrinologists diagnose and treat these conditions:

  1. Diabetes (Types 1 and 2)
  2. Low or high blood sugar (hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia)
  3. Concerns about growth, including slow or rapid growth
  4. Puberty concerns, such as early or delayed puberty
  5. Adrenal conditions
  6. Calcium, phosphorus or vitamin D concerns
  7. Pituitary or other hormone-related conditions (including diabetes insipidus)
  8. Differences in sex development (DSD)
  9. Excess hair growth (hirsutism)
  10. Rare endocrine conditions, including pheochromocytoma and multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) syndromes
