The best gift you can give a child is your time. At Jeff Gordon Children’s Center, there are several ways you can volunteer to spend time with patients, from newborns to children up to 18 years old.
Our patients come from many backgrounds and have a variety of needs. If you volunteer, you could read a book, play video games or color. You could even surf the Internet with older patients in the teen computer room, or sit with them while they have an X-ray.
To volunteer, or for more details, call 704-403-1376.
For monetary donations, the NorthEast Foundation has established the “ELLA Fund” – Encourage, Laughter, Learning, Achieving. Money from this fund is used to meet current needs and buy items for the playroom, including books, games, software, toys and seasonal party supplies.
To donate to the ELLA Fund, contact the NorthEast Foundation.
Jeff Gordon Children’s Center welcomes donations for our patients and their families, as well as our pediatric areas and playrooms. We always are in need of a range of items, including electronics, board games, toys, clothing and video games.

Donation Requirements
To prevent spreading germs, all donated items must be new and in original packaging. Donations must not have been played with by other children or put on display in a home or office.
Because our patients need rest, only a certain number of people can visit each day, including those who drop off donations. To deliver your donation in person, you must be 18 or older, in good health and schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance.
To schedule a time to drop off donations, call 704-403-2040 or email Robin Holland.
Thanks for your kindness and support!
