“I am in awe of the strength and gentleness of children during even the scariest of times. It is a true honor and privilege to comfort, empathize with and support fearful parents as they are facing difficult diagnoses for their young ones. As a mom of small children, I have been on the other side of scary and devastating medical news. If not for the incredible providers in the pediatric world that cared for our family, we would not be where we are today as a family. I truly have a heart for the pediatric population and hope that I can provide similar care and truly help these patients to feel loved and heard.”
Heyward McDaniel is a board-certified physician assistant. She has clinical interests in pediatric epilepsy and pediatric neurology.
She received her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Her favorite thing to do outside of work is spend time with her husband and 2 boys. She enjoys having adventures and making memories with her busy and active boys, who are the lights of her life. McDaniel is originally from Charleston, SC, and loves any time her family gets to spend at the beach.
