Dr. Hollowell is board certified in special care dentistry. He specializes in general dentistry, special needs dentistry and medically complex patients.
He values the opportunity to provide care to a population that can often require complex and specialized dental treatments.
Dr. Hollowell is the dental residency director at Atrium Health. He is a member of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the American Dental Association and the Special Care Dentistry Association.
He has served as president of the Special Care Advocates in Dentistry and the NC Dental Society. He served as chair of the American Association of Hospital Dentists and his work was recognized with a Dr. Lawrence J. Chasko Distinguished Service Award.
Dr. Hollowell received his dental degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also completed residency. He completed a fellowship with the American Association of Hospital Dentists.
Away from work, he enjoys family time and traveling.
