Our Neurology APP Fellowship is an extensive 12-month program that prepares advanced practice providers (APPs) to gain additional knowledge, skills, and competency within the specialty of neurology.

Our fellowship will provide advanced training in neurological disease management with experiences in adult consultative neurology, ambulatory/longitudinal neurological care, neuro-hospitalist medicine, subspecialty neurology, procedural experience and research and scholarly activity. The neurology fellowship offers advanced didactic education with comprehensive rotations covering the continuum of care for neurology patients. APP fellows will receive focused, dedicated individual training in addition to participating in grand rounds and interdepartmental learning.

Curriculum Highlights

The fellowship offers comprehensive exposure to both inpatient and outpatient neurology, including subspecialty rotations and elective opportunities. Fellows will gain experience in:

  • General Neurology (2 months)
  • Inpatient Neurology (2 months, including tele-neurology)
  • Cognitive Neurology (1 month)
  • Cerebrovascular (1 month)
  • Epilepsy and Functional Neurological Disorders (1 month)
  • Headache and Traumatic Brain Injury (1 month)
  • Subspecialty Rotations (1.5 months):
    • Movement Disorders
    • Neuromuscular
    • Multiple Sclerosis
    • Genetics
    • Pediatric Neurology
    • Neuroradiology
  • Elective Rotations (1.5 months):
    • Additional inpatient or outpatient focus, or transition-to-practice tracks

Clinical Skills & Procedures

Fellows will be trained and signed off on key outpatient procedures, including:

  • Botox for Migraine
  • Pericranial Nerve Block Injections
  • Trigger Point Injections
  • Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) Adjustments
