Services provided at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Proton & Advanced Radiation Center

We offer a full range of radiation therapy for patients with cancer and certain non-cancerous conditions, including innovative technologies that can improve outcomes and reduce side effects.

Gamma Knife radiosurgery

We’re the first program to offer Gamma Knife radiosurgery in Charlotte, NC. Our center is equipped with the most advanced technology of its kind on the market. It’s noninvasive, effective and safe.

We aim to make the treatment process as stress-free as possible. Our dedicated Gamma Knife coordinator is here to guide you every step of the way, from answering questions and setting up appointments to connecting you with helpful resources.

Proton beam therapy (coming mid-2024)

In mid-2024, we’ll be the first in the Carolinas to offer proton beam therapy. Proton therapy is a highly precise treatment that can effectively target tumors with fewer side effects than other forms of radiation therapy.

Radiopharmaceuticals

We offer radiopharmaceuticals for prostate and neuroendocrine tumors. Radiopharmaceuticals are radioactive drugs that travel through the body to find and destroy cancer cells. These medications are often given as an intravenous (IV) infusion through a vein and are delivered in a relaxing environment by highly trained staff.
