When your child has been diagnosed with HLHS, experts usually recommend a series of 3 surgeries to correct the condition. The first surgery typically occurs just a few days after your baby is born, the second takes place around 6 months and the third surgery is recommended when your child reaches the age of 2 or 3.
Our expert pediatric heart surgeons partner with you to develop a personalized care plan for your baby. And when it's time for surgery, we offer some of the best outcomes in the country for these procedures.
The HEARTest Yard fund was created by former Carolina Panthers player Greg Olsen to remove some of the challenges faced by families of children with congenital heart defects. The program provides services to families after they leave the hospital, including in-home private nursing care.
