Visits from family and friends bring happiness and comfort to patients at Levine Children's Hospital. A visit – however long or short – can be a very bright spot in what might otherwise be a trying day. We've provided some useful visitor information below. Before your next visit, please review our full list of latest visitor policies, restrictions and exceptions. If you have any questions or concerns, your care team is here to help.
Parents and guardians are welcome to stay 24 hours a day.
Normal visiting hours at Levine Children's Hospital are typically 12:30 to 8:30 p.m. If your child is not up to receiving visitors, you can rely on our staff to ask well-wishers to come by at another time. Patients may have up to 4 visitors at their bedside at one time.
We encourage you to spend as much time with your child as possible — especially overnight. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay 24 hours a day. Brothers and sisters may visit as your child's condition allows, but we ask that they not spend the night in the hospital.
For the safety of all of our patients, we also ask that you:
Seeing your new baby is important to you, your child and your family. We encourage you to visit often while your baby is under our care. You may want to keep a journal during your child's stay and bring one or two small washable toys for your baby.
The neonatal nurseries provide critical care for babies who are born prematurely or require special assistance. We will help you feel comfortable around the strange sounds, smells and equipment that you will find there. As your child grows more stable, you will be able to hold and rock your baby, and help hospital staff in other care functions.
Due to the complex nature of our patients, we ask that visitors be 13 years or older. Siblings ages 2 years and older are welcome to visit.
