Biography

“I love to try and help people have the best quality of life possible based on their personal goals and beliefs.”

Dr. Longin is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in cardiology. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

She is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease and cardiovascular imaging.

She was drawn to cardiology because it offers a fulfilling mix of time caring for patients in the hospital as well as the office and uses different imaging modalities to assist in diagnosis and treatment. She enjoys helping patients live healthier lives and working with colleagues who are focused on the same goals.

Dr. Longin received her medical degree at Michigan State University and completed her residency at Northwestern University Medical School. She followed that with a fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital.

She and her husband have 2 children. She likes to be active outdoors, jogging, shooting hoops with her son and hiking in the mountains. She also likes to bake and read mysteries and historical fiction.
