Pediatric Intensive Care Services
Thanks to the generosity of late NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick and his family, Levine Children's Hospital offers a fully equipped pediatric intensive care unit. The Ricky Hendrick Centers for Intensive Care offers:
- Trauma treatment and care for all pediatric illness emergencies
- Resuscitation and stabilization
- Support of lung, heart, brain and other body functions, including the region's only pediatric heart and lung bypass (ECMO)
- Coordination and consultation with subspecialists when needed, including pediatric cardiology, neurology and surgery
- Post-operative care for children following surgery
- Medical management for children needing organ transplant
- Transport from other hospitals to Levine Children's Hospital via MedCenter Air
