Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Earn Your Leons at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. You are an important part of our team, and we appreciate everyone who gives their time. No matter the service project, you’re making a lasting impact on our patients and their families.

Applications are accepted year-round, and individuals ages 5 and up are welcome to apply. Once accepted into Earn Your Leons, you’ll be added to the Leon List and begin receiving a monthly newsletter featuring upcoming special service projects.

As special projects catch your interest, you can request to participate. Each request will be reviewed individually to ensure the best match for both the participant and the opportunity.

Earn Your Leons Program Agreement

As a participant of Earn Your Leons, I agree to the following terms:

  1. Confidentiality

    I will consider as confidential all information which I may hear or see – directly or indirectly – regarding patients, their family members, doctors, or other health care professionals. I will not seek information about any patient from these individuals.

  2. Application Accuracy

    I certify that the answers provided in my application are true and correct. I understand that any misrepresentation, omission of facts, or misleading or false information may result in dismissal from Earn Your Leons.

  3. Volunteer Status

    My services are donated to Atrium Health without expectation of compensation or future employment. My participation is motivated by humanitarian or charitable reasons.

  4. Emergency Medical Treatment

    I authorize Atrium Health to administer emergency medical treatment to me if needed while participating in service project activities at Atrium Health locations. I understand that Atrium Health is not responsible for participants before or after their assigned shifts.

  5. Service Project Matching

    I understand that Atrium Health will make every effort to align my abilities with the service project needs at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. Opportunities may include both onsite and offsite events and activities. All service project opportunities are offered without regard to religion, creed, race, national origin, age, or sex. The first three service projects will be a trial period for both the participant and Atrium Health to ensure a good mutual fit.

  6. Age Requirements

    I understand that all applicants must be at least 5 years old. Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a caregiver at all times while completing service projects at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital.

  7. Court-Ordered Volunteer Opportunities

    I understand that court-ordered volunteer service is not accepted as part of Earn Your Leons.

  8. Service Hours Tracking

    I acknowledge that service hours are tracked on a calendar year basis: July 1 to June 30. Onsite hours will be logged on sign-in sheets at the event. Offsite hours must be self-reported and submitted to Volunteer Services for logging.
