“I am a helper and a fixer by nature. In pediatric medicine, I not only get to help the child, but I can help the whole family. When a child is sick and in the hospital, this may be the hardest thing a parent has ever gone through. I've been there too; I know what it is like to have a sick child and feel helpless. Having someone you trust fight for your child in a way you are unable to is powerful. ”
Quarles is a board-certified acute care pediatric nurse practitioner. She is the director for the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Pediatric Fellowship at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital.
Quarles received a Daisy Award from The Daisy Foundation, which recognizes excellence in nursing.
She received her master’s degree in nursing at Vanderbilt University.
Her favorite thing to do outside of work is to spend time with her husband and 3 kids, especially playing games and watching Marvel movies. She loves to bake for her coworkers, read, watch and listen to musicals, and sing along to “Hamilton” lyrics in her head while running.
