Our mission is to train the next generation of cardiovascular imaging leaders and innovators through mentored autonomy with guidance from nationally recognized faculty in cardiovascular imaging and exposure to a high volume, diverse, complex case mix using cutting edge multi-modality imaging technology.

About the Program

The SHVI Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship is a 1- or 2-year training program tailored to the career goals of each fellow. Trainees receive a comprehensive multi-modality training experience with dedicated and renowned cardiovascular imaging faculty. The curriculum is designed to meet the American College of Cardiology core training requirements (COCATS), while fostering mastery in imaging modalities, research involvement and preparation to lead imaging laboratories. Fellows will have opportunities to teach medical students (Wake Forest), residents (Carolinas Medical Center) and cardiology fellows (Wake Forest and USC-Prisma), participate in cardiology and imaging conferences and be involved in imaging research and quality improvement projects.
