Know Before You Go

Construction is under way. Please expect delays as you arrive at Levine Children’s Hospital and plan extra time in your schedule for your appointment or visit.

Levine Children's Hospital ensures excellence in children's healthcare by building partnerships with caregivers, families and the community it serves.

The partnership began long before the hospital opened its doors in 2007, when generous individuals, corporations and foundations stepped forward to help build their community hospital – a place of hope. This support continues today through volunteerism and generous contributions.

As current programs grow and receive national acclaim, new services continue to emerge. As a result, children are able to receive the highest level of care – right here in our community.

Volunteering at Levine Children's Hospital

COVID-19 Update: Per Atrium Health policy, COVID-19 vaccinations are required for all volunteers. Unvaccinated applicants may receive their COVID-19 vaccines during the health clearance process, if selected to our program. Masks are required at all our facilities for visitors, patients, teammates, and Volunteers, regardless of vaccination status.

The best gift you can give a child is simple – your time. Every year, more than 500 people contribute 18,000 volunteer hours to Levine Children's Hospital, and we couldn't do it without your support. We have several volunteer opportunities whether you can be on a regular schedule or a more flexible one. See the difference a few hours of your time can make in the life of a sick child. Teen Advisory Council at Levine Children's Hospital

Comprised of both patients and siblings, this group provides input and feedback directly to the hospital from the patient's and family's points of view. The Teen Council gives current and previous patients, and their siblings, a forum in which they can voice their thoughts, ideas and concerns to members of Levine Children's Hospital's leadership team, then work together to improve the quality of care and services provided for patients.

Members are given opportunities to develop and practice self-advocacy skills, develop individual leadership skills and contribute to the Levine Children's Hospital community.

The goals of this group are to serve as role models, survey current patients (some are current patients themselves) and offer peer support, and continue to offer valuable and constructive feedback to Levine Children's Hospital.

At this time, the Teen Advisory Council is only open to current and former patients and siblings. For more information about the Teen Advisory Council, please contact Mike Daly, or call 704-381-7251.

Family Advisory Council at Levine Children's Hospital

The Family Advisory Council meets monthly to discuss the family perspective of experiences at Levine Children's Hospital and make recommendations to the administration for improvement. The council also develops programs and communications to help educate families and employees about family-centered care.

Council members are also family members of former patients, with first-hand knowledge of what it means to have a child in the hospital and a passion to ensure everyone has a great experience at Levine Children's Hospital.

Role of the Family Advisory Council

  • Support and strengthen communication and collaboration among patients, family members and hospital staff.
  • Provide input and feedback regarding the delivery of services for children and their families.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to improve the quality of care provided to us and our children.
  • Serve as a resource as requested by hospital administration on developing services, programs and new patient care areas.
  • Bring the needs of the community to the attention of hospital staff and administration.

For more information, please contact Mike Daly, or call 704-381-7251.

Donate Money

Every dollar you give goes to help pediatric patients and develop new treatments in the Carolinas. The difference between good and great healthcare, and often the sole reason a specialized program exists, is community support. Here are some ways you can help:

Donate to Levine Children's Hospital online

This fund allows you to designate your gift to a specific program and to make your donation in honor or in memory of someone. You can make a one-time gift or installments over a period of time.

Donate to The Children's Fund through Atrium Health Foundation. This fund provides for a variety of options such as event sponsorships, honor gifts, grants, planning gifts or personal fund-raising pages.

Donate to the Children's Miracle Network.

Levine Children's Hospital is proudly affiliated with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, an alliance of 170 children's hospitals throughout North America. Locally, Children's Miracle Network raises more than $3 million annually and 100 percent of the proceeds benefits Levine Children's Hospital, Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital and related facilities in North and South Carolina.

How are Funds Used?
