Our board-certified pediatric critical care doctors deliver the advanced, around-the-clock care your child needs to get better – and get back to being a kid.

Pediatric Intensive Care Services

Thanks to the generosity of late NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick and his family, Levine Children's Hospital offers a fully equipped pediatric intensive care unit. The Ricky Hendrick Centers for Intensive Care offers:

  • Trauma treatment and care for all pediatric illness emergencies
  • Resuscitation and stabilization
  • Support of lung, heart, brain and other body functions, including the region's only pediatric heart and lung bypass (ECMO)
  • Coordination and consultation with subspecialists when needed, including pediatric cardiology, neurology and surgery
  • Post-operative care for children following surgery
  • Medical management for children needing organ transplant
  • Transport from other hospitals to Levine Children's Hospital via MedCenter Air
