Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship
Led by the nation’s leading physicians, the Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship seeks to enrich fellows in the science, clinical knowledge, cognitive and technical aspects of female health. The program is designed to train dedicated, forward-thinking surgeons, academics and leaders in the field of women’s healthcare. Within this program, fellows will receive training in complex and diverse surgeries, urogynecology clinics and clinical research in pelvic floor disorders.
Where You Will Train
Atrium Health Women’s Care Urogynecology and Pelvic Surgery
This primary outpatient location is an integrated subspecialty office where residents will learn from physicians in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery from both urology and obstetrics and gynecology.

Program Curriculum
This 3-year program is designed to train fellows to evaluate and manage women with pelvic floor disorders, as well as to apply minimally invasive surgical skills. Throughout the program, fellows will participate in research projects, present at national meetings and participate in medical student and resident education. This program is approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

During the first year, clinical rotations include urogynecology and minimally invasive gynecology, followed by clinical rotations in neurology and gastroenterology in the second year.

This program admits 1 fellow each year. Applicants must have completed an accredited obstetrics and gynecology or urology residency program. We begin accepting applications December 1. Applications are accepted from participants in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
