At Atrium Health, we’re dedicated to bringing safe, high-quality women’s care to all the communities we serve. From mobile medicine units to pregnancy and breastfeeding support, count on us for the care you deserve to feel your best.
Atrium Health Women’s Care Drive to Thrive is a mobile medicine unit. We drive to locations across the greater Charlotte region, bringing exceptional women’s care to the communities we serve. You can receive a range of women’s health services, including Pap smears (cervical cancer screenings), birth control and first-time prenatal visits. There’s also a social worker on-site, who can help connect you to other resources.
With Centering Pregnancy, you can get prenatal care in a comfortable group setting. This lets you have your individual prenatal visit, followed by a group session with others who are due around the same time as you. The group session is led by a member of your care team, with topics customized for your group’s interests and needs, including childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, and exercise and nutrition during pregnancy.
Centering Pregnancy is currently offered at select doctors’ offices. Call the location near you to learn how to join:

Like anything, breastfeeding can take time and practice to learn. Specially trained to offer breastfeeding support, our board-certified lactation consultants are here to help.
Available at all Atrium Health hospitals, as well as at several OB/GYN and pediatric offices, they offer support during pregnancy, in the hospital after delivery and after your baby is home. From how to latch your baby to how to know if they’re getting enough, they’ll help you learn the basics and overcome challenges every step of the way.
In addition to OB/GYNs, many of our women’s care practices include doula support as part of your pregnancy care team. Doulas are certified professionals specially trained to serve as your advocate, guide and emotional support throughout your pregnancy journey.
A doula helps you prepare for labor, eases your fear and anxiety about delivery, and supports you as you learn to care for and feed your newborn. They offer expert guidance on breathing techniques, relaxation methods, positioning, visualization exercises, and more – all to create a positive and empowering birth experience.
