Justin Arnall, PharmD, BCOP, FCCP About Statement: Dr. Arnall joined the Atrium Health in August 2016 following the completion of his Oncology PGY2. After a few years working in malignant hematology and cell therapy within Levine Cancer Institute, he transitioned to a comprehensive hematology specialist role within the Atrium Health Specialty Pharmacy Service. His current responsibilities include rounding on a daily basis with the inpatient hematology consult team at CMC, providing clinical support for the bleeding disorders, hematology, and oncology specialty pharmacy service lines, and peripheral support for hematology clinics across the Atrium Health Charlotte region. Professional interests include myeloproliferative neoplasm, multiple myeloma and lymphoma, classical hematology practice, bleeding disorders, factor and anticoagulation stewardship, and thrombocytopenic disorders. Honors/ Awards: Dr. Arnall has made notable contributions to multiple pharmacy and multi-disciplinary organizations and has been a contributing author on over 60 peer reviewed publications, over 80 abstracts/ poster presentations, over 20 presentations on local, regional, and national platforms, and 3 book chapters. He has also developed and led a number of clinical initiatives within the Atrium Health system. He is the recipient of the 2021 HOPA New Practitioner Award, 2022 ASTCT Pharmacy SIG New Practitioner Award, 2022 ACCP New Clinical Practitioner Award, and the 40 Under 40 in Cancer Award. |

Liz Barnes, PharmD, CPP, BCACP, AAVHIVP About Statement: Dr. Barnes joined Atrium Health in 2012 as an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist for Myers Park Pharmacy, working not only in the dispensing area but also helping to manage patient care within the asthma, HIV and anticoagulation clinics. She later became the pharmacy supervisor of this location before accepting a position as the clinical lead for the HIV service line within AH Specialty Pharmacy. Nicole Cowgill, PharmD, MBA, BCOP, CSP About Statement: Dr. Cowgill is the manager of clinical services for specialty pharmacy in the Greater Charlotte Region. Her responsibilities include oversight of clinical activities across 18 service lines, research and outcomes, and development of programs and technology in the service of specialty patients. Her clinical interests include oncology, hematology and bleeding disorders. Honors/Awards: Dr. Cowgill has significant contributions to the following: 2021 National Association of Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmacy of the Year Award; and the 2022 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Award for Implementation of Outpatient Clinical Pharmacy Services. |

Lauren Downing, PharmD About Statement:Dr. Lauren Downing earned her Pharmacy Degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). She is the lead pharmacist for the neurology service line at AH SPS. She brings specialized focus and in-depth expertise to optimizing patient care in the neurological setting. Dr. Downing completed her pharmacy residency at AH Cabarrus. Sarah E. Gregar, PharmD, BCCCP About Statement: I grew up in Georgia and went to UGA through the hope scholarship program for my undergrad before going to South Carolina for pharmacy school. I am glad I changed schools or else I wouldn't have met my now husband who was in the business school across the street. My love for pharmacy started when I was in high school and worked at a very small compounding pharmacy in my hometown (White, GA). I enjoy walking my cute corgi, Lizzy, and cuddling with my two cats, I love fall and everything pumpkin, and love to go to the beach as much as I can. I used to work at CMC in the medical ICU can really loved it but needed a change and a new challenge so transitioned. Honors/Awards: Publication in BJMMR (Polk AO, DeMott SE, Mohorn PL, et al. Jamie Kimbrell, PharmD, CPP, AAHIVP About Statement: Dr. Kimbrell joined Atrium Health in 2017 as a resident. Upon completion of residency, she started working with the Atrium Health Specialty pharmacy as a clinical specialty pharmacist within the HIV and Hepatitis C service lines and sees patients at the outpatient ID clinic. Her professional interests include HIV, hepatitis C, and chronic medication management. |

Michael Laskowitz, PharmD About Statement: Michael is an internal medicine clinical pharmacist who joined Carolinas Medical Center in 2024. He is originally from Chapel Hill, NC and graduated from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2022. In addition to rounding with the internal medicine teaching teams, Michael helps coordinate student programming and is a member of the preceptor development committee. His interests outside the hospital include disc golf, board games, and crossword puzzles. |

Suzanne McClanahan, PharmD, BCPPS About Statement: I joined Carolinas Medical Center in 2017 where I completed my PGY1 acute care residency. Upon completion, I began working at Levine Children's Hospital as a clinical staff pharmacist where I worked for 5 years before transitioning to Atrium Health Specialty Pharmacy. My professional interests include all aspects of pediatric pharmacy which I now do through specialty working with autoimmune, pediatric hematology/oncology, and hemophilia patients. |

Sarah (Garfinkle) Murray, PharmD, BCACP, CPP About Statement: Dr. Murray joined Atrium Health in 2020 as a PGY1 resident in the ambulatory care setting. After completing her PGY1, she was the inaugural CMC Ambulatory Care PGY2 resident. Her resident project entailed integrating pharmacy services into the Cystic Fibrosis clinics, which transitioned into a clinical pharmacist position through specialty pharmacy services. She currently supports the Cystic Fibrosis clinics and counsels on pulmonary medications filled through Atrium Health's Specialty Pharmacy. Professional interests include pulmonary, weight loss, and women's health. Honors/ Awards: 2022 Implementation of Outpatient Clinical Pharmacy Services Cystic Fibrosis Foundation grant. |

Stephanie Murtha, PharmD, BCCCP About Dr. Murtha: Dr. Murtha joined the CMC pharmacy department in August 2022, most recently establishing her role as the Neurocritical Care Clinical Pharmacist. Stephanie currently serves as the Communications Chair for the Carolinas/Virginias Chapter of SCCM. Her professional interests include research and quality improvement, status epilepticus, and management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. |

Kyle Osborne, PharmD, BCPS, CSP About Statement: Dr. Kyle Osborne earned his Pharmacy Degree from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. He completed his residency training with Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC, where he currently works as the clinical lead for autoimmune diseases for Atrium Health’s Specialty Pharmacy Service. Dr. Osborne is board-certified in pharmacotherapy and specialty pharmacy. He splits his time between patient care, clinical research, and support of Atrium’s rheumatology, gastroenterology, and dermatology offices. Jeron Speaks, PharmD, CSP About Statement: My practice focuses exclusively on inflammatory bowel disease in adults and children. Responsibilities include assisting with medication selection and prescribing, prior authorization and appeal assistance, peer to peer, third party engagement, patient education, pharmacy industry liaison for specialty gastroenterology interests, provider and pharmacy education and updates, and ad hoc follow up for selected patients. Thuy Tran, PharmD, BCOP, CSP About Statement:I am the lead pharmacist for the adult oncology service line at Atrium Health Specialty Pharmacy Service (AH SPS). I have been with the system for over 7 years. Prior to AH SPS, I was a retail pharmacist with Walmart. During my time at Walmart, I re-evaluated the accuracy of oral dosing devices for pediatric liquid oral medications and lead the nation-wide implementation of graduated oral syringe utilization in Walmart pharmacies. I also helped initiate and optimize the Immunization and Medication Therapy Management programs for the local district. Honors/ Awards: I was a recipient of the 40-Under-40 in Cancer in 2021 for my effort in the initiation of the AH SPS pediatric oncology/hematology service line, the optimization of the AH SPS hematology service line, and the COVID community outreach. |
