Becky Szymanski, PharmD, BCPS, DPLA Pharmacy School: University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy Professional Training: Critical Care Residency/Fellowship – St. Paul-Ramsey Medical Center Current Role/Specialty: Pharmacy Administration and Medication Safety; Residency Program Director Special Information: Dr. Szymanski joined Atrium Health in 1997 and served as a clinical specialist in internal medicine at Atrium Health Cabarrus. In 2005, she transitioned into her current role as clinical pharmacy manager. Dr. Szymanski began the residency program here at Atrium Health Cabarrus in 1998 and currently serves as the residency program director. She is an active member of NCAP, ASHP, and the High Point Pharmacy Preceptor Advisory Board. She also serves on numerous committees and advisory teams here at Atrium Health. Her clinical interests include the expansion of pharmacy clinical services and medication safety. |

Alistock, PharmD, MS Pharmacy School: Medical University of South Carolina (BS & PharmD) Professional Training: Master’s in Health Informatics – University of Illinois at Chicago Current Role/Specialty: Clinical Staff Pharmacist Special Information: Dr. Alistock joined Atrium Health in 1997 and currently precepts for the PGY1 residency inpatient core rotation. In addition to her pharmacy education, she has obtained a Master’s in Health Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Alistock is an active member of ASHP and NCAP as well as Atrium Health Cabarrus’ Interview Team and Patient Safety Champions Committee. Dr. Alistock also enjoys volunteering her time with the Second Harvest Food Bank. |

Chris Barringer, DPLA Pharmacy School: University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy Professional Training: ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy Current Role/Specialty: Pharmacy Administration Special Information: Mr. Barringer joined Atrium Heath in 2005. He currently serves as the Director of Pharmacy for Atrium Health Cabarrus. During his 29-year career as a pharmacist, he has practiced in community pharmacy, home health, inpatient care and now pharmacy administration. He is an active member of NCAP and ASHP. His clinical interests include pharmacy operations, compounded sterile products, nutritional pharmacy, and distribution processes. |

She later transitioned into her current role as a clinical pharmacist in emergency medicine. Ally now serves as one of the internal medicine preceptors. |

Bostian II, PharmD, BCPS Pharmacy School: Wingate University School of Pharmacy Professional Training: PGY1 Residency – CaroMont Regional Medical Center Current Role/Specialty: Emergency Medicine Special Information: Dr. Bostian originally joined Atrium Health in 2008 as a pharmacy technician. In 2018, he re-joined with his current role at Atrium Health Cabarrus as an emergency medicine clinical staff pharmacist. He is an active member on Atrium Health’s trauma, integrative medicine, and wellness councils. Dr. Bostian’s clinical interests include trauma, critical care, and infectious diseases.

Dr. DeSanty works as a decentralized clinical pharmacist specializing in internal medicine and neurology. Dr. DeSanty enjoys precepting PGY1 pharmacy residents and fourth year pharmacy students in his various clinical areas. His clinical interests include stroke, epilepsy, and geriatric pharmacotherapy. |

Darren Drew, PharmD, BCPS Pharmacy School: Ohio Northern University Professional Training: PGY1 Residency – Atrium Health Cabarrus Current Role/Specialty: Operation Room and Surgical Services Special Information: Dr. Drew joined Atrium Health in 2000 as a PGY1 resident at Atrium Health Cabarrus. He stayed on following residency and transitioned into the role of OR and Surgical Services Clinical Team Leader in 2008. Dr. Drew is interested in increasing surgical care improvement project (SCIP) compliance. |

Along with Dr. Kosmisky, she helped develop Atrium Health’s Virtual Critical Care Pharmacy program in 2015. Dr. Everhart is an active member of SCCM, ASHP, and ACCP as well as the Carolinas/Virginias Chapter of SCCM. Her clinical interests include sepsis, infectious diseases, and tele-health. |

He stayed on after residency as a clinical staff pharmacist before transitioning to his current role in with the Antimicrobial Support Network in 2017. Dr. Ford precepts PGY1 residents as well as fourth year pharmacy students from both Wingate University and High Point University. His clinical interests include precepting, prevention of antimicrobial resistance, and helping to develop new antimicrobial stewardship initiatives across the Atrium Health enterprise. |

After residency, he moved into his current role as a clinical pharmacist with Levine Cancer in Concord. In addition to serving on Advocate Health’s Hazardous Drug List workgroup, he is involved in multiple committees at Levine Cancer. His primary interests include sterile compounding, USP compliance and education, and adult hematology/oncology. |

She participates in the Atrium Health Cabarrus Resuscitation and Critical Care Committees and the Division of Pharmacy Research and Quality Improvement and Critical Care Steering Committees. Kristen Nagy, PharmD, BCPS, BCPP Pharmacy School: University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Current Role/Specialty: Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Special Information: Dr. Nagy joined Atrium Health in 2008 as a staff pharmacist at Carolinas Medical Center. In 2014, she transitioned into her role as a clinical coordinator for psychiatry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Nagy took an active role in addressing pharmacist mental health and burnout within Atrium Health. She also champions the Resident Wellness Program with her colleague, Dr. Stephanie Greenwood. Dr. Nagy enjoys teaching and is an active faculty member at several psychiatric residency programs as well as the APP Fellowship Program here at Atrium Health. |

She currently works at Atrium Health Cabarrus as an inpatient clinical staff pharmacist, primarily in second shift critical care. She is a preceptor for the inpatient core and longitudinal clinical staffing rotations. Lindsay Sheehan, PharmD, CDCES, CPP, BCACP Pharmacy School: Wingate University School of Pharmacy Professional Training: PGY1 Ambulatory Care Residency – Atrium Health Cabarrus Current Role/Specialty: Ambulatory Care Special Information: Dr. Sheehan joined Atrium Health in 2010 as part of the clinical team at Atrium Health Cabarrus. She currently serves as the Clinical Pharmacy Leader at Kannapolis Internal Medicine (a facility of Atrium Health) where she focuses on chronic disease state management. Dr. Sheehan also serves as the residency site coordinator for the Atrium Health Cabarrus Ambulatory Care PGY1 as well as a preceptor for Atrium Health Cabarrus Acute Care PGY1. Dr. Sheehan hopes that every resident would come visit her site as she thoroughly enjoys teaching, collaborating, and learning from the acute care residents. |

Michelle Wang, PharmD, BCPS, BCEMP Pharmacy School: University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy Professional Training: PGY1 Residency - Missouri Baptist Medical Center Current Role/Specialty: Emergency Medicine Special Information: Dr. Wang joined Atrium Health Cabarrus in 2017 and transitioned on to the emergency medicine team in 2019. She currently serves as the Emergency Medicine PGY2 Program Director. She is an active member of several hospital committees, including the Residency Advisory Committee, Preceptor Development Committee, and Pharmacy Code Response Committee. Her clinical interests include prehospital care and trauma.
