Special Information: Dr. Szymanski joined Atrium Health in 1997 and served as a clinical specialist in internal medicine at Atrium Health Cabarrus. In 2005, she transitioned into her current role as clinical pharmacy manager. Dr. Szymanski began the residency program here at Atrium Health Cabarrus in 1998 and currently serves as the residency program director. She is an active member of NCAP, ASHP, and the High Point Pharmacy Preceptor Advisory Board. She also serves on numerous committees and advisory teams here at Atrium Health. Her clinical interests include the expansion of pharmacy clinical services and medication safety.

Special Information: Dr. Alistock joined Atrium Health in 1997 and currently precepts for the PGY1 residency inpatient core rotation. In addition to her pharmacy education, she has obtained a Master’s in Health Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Alistock is an active member of ASHP and NCAP as well as Atrium Health Cabarrus’ Interview Team and Patient Safety Champions Committee. Dr. Alistock also enjoys volunteering her time with the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Special Information: Mr. Barringer joined Atrium Heath in 2005. He currently serves as the Director of Pharmacy for Atrium Health Cabarrus. During his 29-year career as a pharmacist, he has practiced in community pharmacy, home health, inpatient care and now pharmacy administration. He is an active member of NCAP and ASHP. His clinical interests include pharmacy operations, compounded sterile products, nutritional pharmacy, and distribution processes.

Special Information: Dr. Bergman joined Atrium Health in 2019 as a PGY1 resident at Atrium Health Cabarrus. She later transitioned into her current role as a clinical pharmacist in emergency medicine. She serves on numerous subject matter expert committees and advisory teams here at Atrium Health. Her clinical interests include status epilepticus, trauma, and infectious diseases.

Special Information: Dr. Bostian originally joined Atrium Health in 2008 as a pharmacy technician. In 2018, he re-joined with his current role at Atrium Health Cabarrus as an emergency medicine clinical staff pharmacist. He is an active member on Atrium Health’s trauma, integrative medicine, and wellness councils. Dr. Bostian’s clinical interests include trauma, critical care, and infectious diseases.

He stayed on following residency as the Emergency Medicine Clinical Coordinator at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Currently, Dr. DeLaney serves as the Pharmacy Operations Manager. His clinical interests include medication safety, emergency medicine, and sterile compounding. Dr. DeLaney enjoys being part of multi-disciplinary teams that work to improve patient safety and care.

Special Information: Dr. Everhart joined Atrium Health in 2001 and became the critical care clinical team leader in 2003. Along with Dr. Kosmisky, she helped develop Atrium Health’s Virtual Critical Care Pharmacy program in 2015. Dr. Everhart is an active member of SCCM, ASHP, and ACCP as well as the Carolinas/Virginias Chapter of SCCM. Her clinical interests include sepsis, infectious diseases, and tele-health.

Special Information: Dr. Ford joined Atrium Health in 2014 as a resident. He stayed on after residency as a clinical staff pharmacist before transitioning to his current role in with the Antimicrobial Support Network in 2017. Dr. Ford precepts PGY1 residents as well as fourth year pharmacy students from both Wingate University and High Point University. His clinical interests include precepting, prevention of antimicrobial resistance, and helping to develop new antimicrobial stewardship initiatives across the Atrium Health enterprise.

Special Information: Dr. Hipp joined Atrium Health in 1996 and she has been a clinical specialist in internal medicine at Atrium Health Cabarrus since 2003. She helped develop Atrium Health Cabarrus’ outpatient anticoagulation services and has been a team leader in that space since its development. Dr. Hipp is an active member of the AC Forum, ACCP, and NCAP. She currently serves on the ACCP Adult Medicine External Affairs Subcommittee, the NCAP Health Systems Practice Academy, and the NCAP Membership Subcommittee as well as numerous committees and advisory teams here at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Special Information: Dr. Humphrey joined Atrium Health in 2016 and has been with Levine Cancer Institute (LCI) since 2017. He currently serves on the LCI Pharmacy ONE Committee where he collaborates with other members to develop and implement standard work across all Atrium Health LCI sites. She participates in the Atrium Health Cabarrus Resuscitation and Critical Care Committees and the Division of Pharmacy Research and Quality Improvement and Critical Care Steering Committees. Special Information: Dr. Moore joined Atrium Health and Levine Cancer Institute in 2016. He is also a graduate of the ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Leadership Academy and a Fellow with ACCP. Dr. Moore has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and serves as a peer reviewer for several medical journals. Dr. Moore is an active member of the ACCP, ASHP, and HOPA.  His clinical interests include lymphoma, multiple myeloma, chronic leukemias and immune thrombocytopenia as well as pharmacovigilance, professional writing, and research.

Special Information: Dr. Nagy joined Atrium Health in 2008 as a staff pharmacist at Carolinas Medical Center. In 2014, she transitioned into her role as a clinical coordinator for psychiatry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Nagy took an active role in addressing pharmacist mental health and burnout within Atrium Health. She also champions the Resident Wellness Program with her colleague, Dr. Stephanie Greenwood. Dr. Nagy enjoys teaching and is an active faculty member at several psychiatric residency programs as well as the APP Fellowship Program here at Atrium Health.

Special Information: Dr. Onsrud joined Atrium Health and the Antimicrobial Support Network in 2015. She is an active member of SIDP and ACCP. Her clinical interests include precepting, quality improvement, and drug development. Dr. Onsrud also enjoys listening to podcasts, spending time with her children, and participating in water sports on Lake Norman.

Special Information: Dr. Poplin joined Atrium Health in 2013 as a PGY1 resident at Carolinas Medical Center. He stayed on following residency by working in various intensive care roles. He later transitioned to our team here at Atrium Health Cabarrus in 2015 where he currently works as a decentralized clinical staff pharmacist in various cardiology and intensive care areas throughout the hospital. His clinical interests include myocardial infarction, heart failure, intensive care medicine, and precepting.

Special Information: Dr. Ray joined Atrium Health in 2012 as a clinical staff pharmacist. In 2013, he transitioned to infectious diseases with the launch of Atrium Health’s Antimicrobial Support Network (ASN). Special Information: Dr. Schmiesing joined Atrium Health in 2008. She currently works at Atrium Health Cabarrus as an inpatient clinical staff pharmacist, primarily in second shift critical care. She is a preceptor for the inpatient core and longitudinal clinical staffing rotations. She is also a member of the Division of Pharmacy Critical Care Steering Committee, and she is an active member of ACCP and SCCM.

Current Role/Specialty: Ambulatory Care

Special Information: Dr. Sheehan joined Atrium Health in 2010 as part of the clinical team at Atrium Health Cabarrus. She currently serves as the Clinical Pharmacy Leader at Kannapolis Internal Medicine (a facility of Atrium Health) where she focuses on chronic disease state management. Dr. Sheehan also serves as the residency site coordinator for the Atrium Health Cabarrus Ambulatory Care PGY1 as well as a preceptor for Atrium Health Cabarrus Acute Care PGY1. Dr. Sheehan hopes that every resident would come visit her site as she thoroughly enjoys teaching, collaborating, and learning from the acute care residents.

Special Information: Dr. Wozniak joined Atrium Health in 2017 as a resident at Atrium Health Cabarrus. He currently works as a clinical pharmacist in the emergency department and is the program director for the emergency medicine PGY2 residency program. Dr. Wozniak is an active member of several hospital committees including the residency advisory committee, resuscitation committee, stroke advisory committee, and trauma council.
