Victoria Mitchell, PharmD, BS Pharmacy School: University of New England Clinical Interests: Infectious diseases, emergency medicine, deprescribing Research Project: Targeted Pharmacist Intervention to Avoid Non-Indicated, Concurrent Antiplatelet Medications with Apixaban in the Acute Care Setting Hobbies/Non-pharmacy Interests: Reading, trying new restaurants, concerts and walking my dog Why Atrium Health Cabarrus? I chose Atrium Health because of the wide variety of rotation offerings and the prominent role that pharmacists have as part of the medical team. Cabarrus initially stood out to me as a program where I could hone my clinical skills and develop into a well-rounded hospital pharmacist. Additionally, the opportunity to collaborate with Atrium Health’s robust Antimicrobial Stewardship Network (ASN) throughout my training was a huge consideration for me. The program also offers 2 rotations in the Emergency department. Concord is a great location, with its own restaurants and activities. Charlotte is also a short drive away but by living in Concord you won't have to deal with the traffic driving to work. |
