Applications to the Cabarrus Family Medicine Residency Program will be accepted only from participants in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Apply here.

A completed application should include a personal statement, curriculum vitae, MSPE, USMLE or Comlex Transcript, and three letters of recommendation. Invitations for personal interviews will be based upon the completed application materials.

The following screening guidelines will be used for initial evaluation of applicants:

  • Applicants should have completed medical school within the last two years.
  • International graduates should have at least one year of clinical experience in the United States. Please note, we do not have the resources to sponsor Visa’s.

Each applicant will be interviewed by members of our Recruitment Committee.

Ranking in the National Resident Matching Program will be made based on commitment to a career in family medicine, academic and clinical excellence, servant leadership and good interpersonal and communication skills.
