Mission

To create and promote a supportive environment of active learning and intellectual curiosity that produces excellent general pediatricians. Our graduates are prepared to care for children across settings and provide evidence-based, compassionate care to the children of our community and beyond. We align with Atrium Health’s mission: to improve health, elevate hope, and advance healing — for all.

Aims

We provide a broad, balanced education that builds a strong general pediatric foundation while supporting diverse career paths (primary care, inpatient pediatrics, or fellowship). We cultivate ownership — of patients, professionalism, and lifelong learning. Our residents advocate for children and communities and are skilled in quality improvement to deliver high-value care in any setting. We do this in a collegial, family-feel environment because strong relationships power great learning.
