Atrium Health Mercy (a facility of Carolinas Medical Center) is a 185 bed adult tertiary acute care hospital located in the Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte. It is approximately 1 mile away from the main campus. An additional general surgery service provides care at this hospital and is well incorporated into the resident’s rotation scheduled starting in their second year. |

Atrium Health Pineville is a 307 bed hospital offering a personal brand of caring to South Charlotte, Ballantyne, Fort Mill, Rock Hill and beyond. A once small hospital built on former farmland, AH Pineville has evolved into a major healthcare hub connecting patients to expert-level care within a local community setting. PGY 3, 4 and 5 residents participate on very busy colorectal surgery, soft tissue oncology, as well as CT and vascular service rotations at AH Pineville. |

Atrium Health University City is a 130 bed hospital. For more than 25 years, our University City location has provided a range of healthcare services in the communities of University City, Mint Hill, North Mecklenburg and Southwest Cabarrus regions in North Carolina. PGY 2 and 3 residents participate in Emergency General Surgery Rotations at this location. |

Atrium Health Cabarrus is a regional 457-bed, not-for-profit hospital that includes a Level III Trauma Center and Emergency Care Center located in Concord, NC. Surgical services are provided both at the hospital and through an outpatient surgery center and include general surgery as well as specialized surgeries such as bariatric surgery through our Surgical Weight Management Program. Chief residents benefit from an excellent experience in Bariatric and Hepatobiliary Surgery rotations, as well as opportunities with the Acute Care Surgery Service at this facility. |
