Dr. Matthew Findlay attended Cornell University for his undergraduate studies, majoring in mathematics, and attended medical school at New York Medical College. He then moved south in search of warmer climes and completed residency at CMC Family Medicine before starting his term as PGY-4 Chief Resident and Junior Faculty Fellow. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and works as an attending physician at Elizabeth Family Medicine, in addition to his duties as Chief Resident and Fellow.

He has special interests in medical education, clinical and diagnostic reasoning, diabetes management, the treatment of chronic pain, and addiction medicine. He is currently performing a quality improvement project involving medication assisted treatment (MAT). Outside his work, he spends his time being active with his church, pursuing a wide range of outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Dr. Simeng Miao attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate studies, majoring in biomedical engineering, and attended medical school at The Ohio State University. She completed residency at CMC Family Medicine before starting her term as PGY-4 Chief Resident and Junior Faculty Fellow. She is board certified in Family Medicine and works as a physician at Elizabeth Family Medicine.

Her areas of interests include academic medicine, preventative care and underserved care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, family and exploring Charlotte.

Carrie Sartor, MD.Carrie Sartor, MD

Dr. Carrie Sartor attended the College of William and Mary for her undergraduate studies, majoring in biology. She attended medical school at Eastern Virgina Medical School. She completed residency at CMC Family Medicine before starting her term as PGY-4 Chief Resident and Junior Faculty Fellow. She is board certified in Family Medicine. She works at a FQHC, called Health Works, in Leesburg, VA. 

Her areas of interest include academic medicine, underserved care, and geriatrics. Outside of work, she enjoys dance-based fitness classes like Zumba and Mixed Fit, and spending time with her 7-month-old son.
