Our fellowship participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and applications for open positions can be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The application process opens in the beginning of July.
ERAS Requirements Include:
• Official medical school transcript
• One-page personal statement
• Results of all tests (USMLE, and/or COMLEX)
Additional requirements:
• A minimum of 3 letters of recommendation are required.
• One letter should be from your residency Program Director.
• If possible, one of your other letters should be authored by a Medical Toxicologist with whom you have worked.
• Letters must be submitted through ERAS.
After a complete application is received through ERAS, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and invitations for a formal interview are extended after a review of complete applications. Interviews are typically scheduled from August through October.
During even year application cycles we only accept applications from candidates with either independent funding (military, etc.) or Pediatrics-trained applicants with an interest in completing both Medical Toxicology and Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowships. Our Medical Toxicology program has partnered with our Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship program and will support the submission of non-standard fellowship applications to the American Board of Pediatrics and American Board of Emergency Medicine for consideration of reducing the total length of dual training from 5 years to 4 years. These restrictions are only for even-year application cycles (2024, 2026, etc.); they do not apply to odd-year application cycles (2025, 2027).
