Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery

Our Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship program is a three-year program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). We participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). One fellow is admitted to the program each year. The fellowship program is designed to train physicians to be skilled surgeons, leaders and academicians in this subspecialty field of women’s healthcare.

Fellows receive training in:

• Complex and diverse surgeries
• Urogynecology clinics
• Clinical research in pelvic floor disorders

The primary outpatient location is the Women’s Center for Pelvic Health – an integrated subspecialty office with core faculty board certified/board eligible in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (FPMRS) from both urology and obstetrics and gynecology. Fellows receive excellent surgical training in abdominal, vaginal and laparoscopic/robotic approaches. Additional training opportunities include colorectal and gastroenterology rotations.
