Nearly 250 Atrium Health Physicians Earn Charlotte’s “Top Doctor” Recognition
Charlotte Magazine honors Atrium Health physicians nominated by their peers for exemplifying excellence
CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 13, 2022 – Nearly 250 Atrium Health physicians have been recognized as “Top Doctors” in Charlotte Magazine’s annual rankings. These doctors – representing more than 60 specialties including cardiology, oncology and pediatrics – were nominated by their peers as physicians who exemplify excellence in their fields. Then, a research team evaluated each nominated doctor according to criteria that included qualifications, education, hospital appointments, research leadership, professional reputation and patient outcomes.
In addition, the magazine’s July issue features Atrium Health’s Dr. David Callaway sharing observations from his recent trip to Ukraine, where he provided medical care to refugees and families displaced from their homes on behalf of Team Rubicon. The 48-year-old Minnesota native and Navy veteran has been Team Rubicon’s chief medical officer since 2015, when the organization partnered with Atrium Health.
